Angamardana, meaning “mastery over the limbs”, is a powerful system of 31 dynamic processes rooted in the ancient science of classical Hatha Yoga. Traditionally offered through Isha Hatha Yoga, it uses only the body as a tool to develop strength, agility, balance and endurance while bringing greater stability to both body and mind.
Unlike many modern fitness programmes, Angamardana combines physical intensity with conscious breath and awareness. The result is a practice that not only builds physical capability but also supports mental clarity, emotional balance and overall wellbeing.
Develop whole-body strength using natural bodyweight movements.
Increase joint mobility while enhancing balance and coordination.
Build endurance without relying on traditional gym equipment. Regular practice helps improve vitality throughout the day.
The structured sequence encourages concentration and discipline.
The Angamardana Programme offers over 10 hours of expert instruction delivered across three days. During the workshop you will learn the complete Angamardana sequence in a structured and supportive environment, with detailed guidance on alignment, breath, movement and the underlying yogic principles that make this practice so effective.
The programme is designed to ensure every participant gains the confidence to establish a safe and sustainable home practice while receiving personalised guidance throughout the training.
Adults – Ideal for anyone wishing to improve strength, flexibility and overall wellbeing.
Teenagers – Suitable for young people over 8 years old, helping develop coordination, confidence and physical capability.
Children over 8+ – The Angamardana practise requires more commitment than other practices such as Surya Shakti. I would only recommend it to children who are commited taking the next step and willing to increase their daily practise time.
Previous Experience – No previous yoga experience is required.
Medical Considerations – Avoid during pregnancy or with an active abdominal hernia. If you have any medical concerns, please contact us before booking.
Angamardana is traditionally taught as a complete system. To preserve the integrity of the practice, all sessions must be attended in sequence. Each session builds upon the previous one, ensuring you develop the knowledge and confidence to practise safely and independently after the programme.
