How the Weekly Classical Hatha Yoga Classes Work

These 60–75 minute weekly sessions are designed to support participants in building a steady and meaningful Hatha Yoga practice over time. Rather than learning many processes at once, you will learn one practice at a time through a gradual and structured approach, giving you space to become established before progressing further in your sadhana.

Sessions combine the teaching of selected practices with guided practice and refinement. The intention is to deepen your understanding, experience and connection with Classical Hatha Yoga, not simply to attend an exercise class each week.

Learn One Practice at a Time

New practices are introduced gradually, with time to understand, refine and become consistent before moving on.

What the Classes Will Include

Weekly teaching and practice will focus mainly on Upa Yoga, Surya Shakti and selected elements of Yogasanas.

Separate Complete Programmes

Angamardana is not taught within these weekly classes, but we do offer a dedicated workshop for those wanting to deepen their practice.

Register Interest for a Weekly Classical Hatha Yoga Class

Classes will have a fixed start date and are expected to begin in new cohorts approximately every three months, subject to sufficient interest. Because practices are taught progressively, participants cannot join midway through a cohort.

Register your interest now to share your preferred location and availability and receive details when the next cohort is confirmed.

Membership, Attendance and Proposed Pricing

The weekly programme is designed as a committed cohort rather than a drop-in class. Regular attendance is important, especially whenever a new practice is taught. If you know that you will miss a key teaching session, please tell Shubhra in advance so that an appropriate catch-up can be arranged.

To support commitment and continuity, places are expected to be purchased in blocks. The proposed introductory structure is £200 for each block of eight sessions (£25 per session) for the first 16 sessions. After the first two blocks, the proposed continuation price is £75 for a block of four sessions.

Pricing, dates and locations are indicative and will be confirmed before enrolment opens.

Why Attendance Matters

Each practice is taught as a complete and precise process. Missing a session in which new material is introduced can leave gaps that affect both safety and confidence. The block structure helps everyone in the cohort progress together while allowing time to become established in each practice.

If weekly attendance is not currently practical, the separate weekend workshops for Surya Kriya, Yogasanas and Angamardana may be a more suitable option.

Which Classical Hatha Yoga Practice Is Right for You?

Each practice is a complete system in its own right—designed by Sadhguru and rooted in the classical yogic tradition. Use this comparison to find the option that fits your body, schedule and goals.

Develop Your Practice Over Time

A Meaningful Weekly Sadhana

Consistency is central to the way Classical Hatha Yoga is experienced. By learning gradually and returning each week, participants have time to notice, question and refine how each practice works within their own system.

The classes are designed to help yoga become a meaningful sadhana rather than another appointment in the diary—supporting a deeper connection with the practices and greater stability in everyday life.
