CHILDREN’S YOGA
MENTAL HEALTH IS NO LONGER ONLY A PROBLEM JUST FOR ADULTS. BUT AN INCREASING NUMBER OF CHILDREN ARE SUFFERING FROM SOME SORT OF MENTAL HEALTH DISORDER.
With studies showing an increase in reports of poor children’s mental health across Europe, now’s the time to prioritise wellbeing.
Yoga nurtures both the mind and body, fostering emotional balance and inner harmony. Research suggests that Yoga encourages self-awareness, helping individuals tune into their thoughts, emotions, and physical health.
For children and adolescents, this practice can be a valuable tool for self-discovery, improving focus, self-esteem, confidence, and self-regulation.
Among those aged 6 to 16 in England, one in six had a probable mental health condition in 2021, up from one in nine in 2017

Frequently Asked Questions
My child has never done any yoga before. Can they join?
Yes, there is no prerequisite to the programme.
What age group Is eligible for this programme?
This programme is eligible for children ages 10-14. If your child is slightly older or younger than this group and interested in the program, please fill in the form or contact me and we can discuss whether there are eligible to join
Do I have to stay with my child for the sessions?
No, you can leave your child for the sessions and please pick them up after the classes.
Does my child have to attend all the sessions, or can I pick just 1?
It is important that the child attends all 3 workshop sessions. Failure to attend any one session will result in inability to continue for the rest of the workshop as well as incomplete practise knowledge and therefore inability to participate in further group practise sessions. After successful program completion, there will be an opportunity to participate in guided sessions where participation can happen as frequently as you would like. This is a great opportunity to help the child imbibe the practises, stay in touch with the group and continue learning about further yogic aspects.
My child suffers from ADHD. Can they attend the workshop?
The workshop can be beneficial for children with certain mental health conditions including ADHD, PTSD and signs of early onset depression. If your child has severe symptoms and is currently receiving medication or treatment please consult a doctor first to check eligibility. The workshop should not be seen as a substitute for any medical treatment which should be addressed by the doctor.
What are the charges for the programme?
The price of the workshop is £165. This covers all aspects of the workshop for the 3 days and one additional group guided review session within 1 month of the workshop taking place which will take the child through the practices again, guide and correct them and introduce them to one more yogic aspect. Further group or private guided sessions can be purchased separately.
What does the price include and what does the breadth of the programme cover?
The price includes the 3-day workshop which is where we will teach both physical and mental classical hatha yoga practices and meditations. In addition, it will cover other aspects of science and spirituality including and intro to yogic food, nada yoga (yoga of sound), as well as a games breakout session and snacks. After the workshop, there is one further 90-minute group guided review session included to go through the practices again, including individual practice corrections and an introduction to one more yogic aspect. The child will have been taught in such a way that they will be able to continue the practices at home between that time and after.
Can they eat before the sessions?
It is important that the child is in empty stomach condition. This means they must have completed any meals at least 2.5 hours before the start of the programme. They should also finish any beverages at least 1 hour after joining. Water is fine to drink before class. Failure to fulfil this condition will result in inability to participate in the practices, as it could be harmful for the system.
